For complete informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Coordinates the planning and delivery of activities for the Quality Management Department. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures and regulato! ry/accrediting body requirements. Performs under the supervision of the QA Director. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospitals strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Coordinates meeting activities and department clerical services. Assists with preparation of reports and presentations for the department. Prepares packets, attends meetings, documents and takes /completes minutes, audio-visual set up, meeting room set up, and packet distribution. Coordinates documentation and logs for physician peer review with department chiefs and Medical Staff QA. Maintains secure QA/PI data base for all Medical Staff members. Provides coordination of legal department case pre, scheduling of depositions, communication with attorneys an! d provision of requested documentation. Logs and maintains leg! al files. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual knowledge, skills, performance and behavior in accordance with hospital and department standards of care and policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all employees, patients, physicians and customers in all matters related to the department and the organization. Provides clerical support to Quality Department/Performance Improvement. Assists with aggregation and development of quality/risk data reports for presentations and packets. Routes calls and communicates effectively among hospital departments. Operates fax machine, photocopier, scanner, computer and various software applications for the department. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.
Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Successful completion of mandatory requirements including unit proficiencies/competencies. Demonstration of effective problem solving, decision ma! king, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication. Demonstration of positive customer service. Demonstration of efficient use of computer software programs including Outlook, Word and Excel. Keyboarding/typing skills of 50 wpm for memos, minutes, and other correspondence. Knowledge of skill in the operation and troubleshooting of office printers, fax, copiers and other equipment. High School Diploma with 3 years of recent business or hospital experience required.
