Completion of a Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistant study program based at an accredited four-year college or junior college, or of an! y Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistant study program approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).

SUBSTITUTIONS:
A Juris Doctorate may be substituted for the study programs specified above.

Possession of the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) certification issued by the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. may be substituted for the study programs specified above.

NOTE:
The non ABA-approved Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistant program must be based at a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Incorporated; the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools; the Northwest Association of Secondary and Higher Schools; the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools; the Western Association of Schools and Colleges; or at a school accredited by a prof! essional or national accreditation organization, such as the A! ccrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), which is a member of the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation (CORPA) and formerly the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation (COPA).

The maximum salary for the Paralegal 2 is $62,317.00 .
