Billing Specialist
Reports to: Billing Manager
Department: Accounting
Job Summary:
Adams and Reese LLP seeks a Billing Specialist. The candidate will process invoices in accordance with the clients guidelines and the billing attorneys instructions and perform other assigned duties.
Responsibilities:
Generate and edit proformas and prepare invoices for billing attorneys final approval and submission to clients. Submit electronic bills, troubleshoot electronic billing issues, and update Billing Manager regularly regarding unresolved billing issues and workload. Communicate with Firms clients, lawyers and staff verbally and in writing providing and exchanging billing information. Maintain master client files in the Elite Legal Billing system. Perform conflict of interest searches, and other business intake procedures. Perform additional billing duties as assigned by the Billing Manager. - Accounting degree and prior Billing experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 applications, including Excel; experience with Elite Legal Billing system a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Law firm o! r professional services experience preferred.
