PRIMARY PURPOSE:

It is the responsibility of the Fire Control Maintenance Dispatcher to provide excellent internal and external Guest Service by using excellent service and communication skills to support the guest, engineers, and other departments in their goals. Is part of a courteous, professional, and engaging team that oversees all department operations related to the life safety system and facility management system.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Manage computerized maintenance management and life safety systems to prioritize, manage and dispatch maintenance team, and complete assigned administrative tasks on a consistent basis

• Maintain a constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention.

• Recognize the required needs of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task.

• Own requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction, answer incoming calls and assist when necessary or direct calls to appropriate areas

• Create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees and thank them when they lend assistance, anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or time of day, prioritize guest requests and dispatches

• Knowledgeable of Department and Hotel goals, Hotel information to answer guest inquiries, and work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• One (1) year of experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry or a similar environment.

• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED:

• Five (5) years of experience in at least one of the following: computerized maintenance management system, building automation system operation, fire alarm system operation, computerized dispatching with heavy radio, and telephone volume.

• Bi-lingual

• Technical school or completed apprenticeship in a similar trade.
