As a Research Assistant of the Immunogenetics Laboratory, your primary duties include: • Manage human cell culture • Process whole blood and isolation of cells from tissue • Assist with preparation of samples for downstream analyses, including microscopy, flow cytometry and Western Blot Perform; perform ELISA • Maintain inventory • Monitor lab equipment for performance • Monitor murine subjects during animal model experiments Salary Range, eff. 7/9/23: $25.75 - $30.71/hour
• Ability to maintain human tissue culture • Background knowledge of cell biology and techniques • Knowledge of methods used to handle and store human tissues and fluids, including biohazards; knowledge of how to store, label and ship materials • Ability to teach and assess progress of students learning new lab skills • Ability to maintain accurate laboratory records
