Description: Amedisys Home Health & Hospice Care is currently interviewing Sr. Manager/Director of Records Management right now, this position will be settled in Louisiana. The Senior Manager/Director of Records Management is responsible for managing, developing, and implementing the overall handling, storage, and preservation of the company's information, data, and records on a large scale basis in compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Senior Manager of Records Management is responsible for overseeing the outsourced review and handling of all record and bill requests from patients, attorneys, courts, legal entities, and government agencies. This position is also responsible for reviewing costs to manage release of information to improve profitability of service.
mst 1. Bachelor's or advanced degree in a scientific field, business law, administration management or related field. 2. Minimum 15 years professional records management in Healthcare industry or other regulated industry. 3. Minimum 5 years management experience. 4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a records management program on a large-scale basis. 5. Understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to the healthcare industry. 6. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. 7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time. 8. Ability to work with a variety of departments, agencies, patients, lawyers and other healthcare providers in a diplomatic fashion. 9. Thorough knowledge of Medicare guidelines, HIPAA guidelines and company policies and procedures. 10. Ability to function efficiently in a stressful work environment while meeting deadlines.
