1. 2. A baccalaureate degree in a non-related field plus one year of professional social services work.

3. A master's degree in a non-related field.

4. Participation in the Title IV-E Child Welfare Training and Curriculum Development Project and graduation with a baccalaureate degree in Social Work.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Bachelors in Social Work or related degree - $1,143.56 Bi-weekly. Child Welfare Specialist 1:
Non-related Bachelors Degree plus two years of professional social service experience or Nonrelated Masters plus on year of professional social service experience- $1117.20 Bi -weekly.
Bachelors in Social Work or related degree plus one year of professional social ! service experience - $1223.60 Bi-weekly .
Masters Degree in Social Work or related Masters Degree - $1333.00 Bi-weekly. Child Welfare Specialist 2:
Non-related Bachelors Degree plus four years of professional social service experience, two years must be in child welfare or Non-related Masters plus three years of professional social service experience, two years must be in child welfare - $1279.32 Bi-weekly.
Bachelors in Social work or related Degree plus three years of professional service experience, two years must be in child welfare - $1401.16 Bi-weekly .

Examples of Work:
Participates in setting case plans and objectives in family team conferences and agency staffings; prepares cases for presentation to the multi-disciplinary team for consultation.

Provides supportive counseling and other supportive services for clients and arranges for the provision of services from community resources based on the case plan.

Interviews clients and families and composes correspondence to compile social histories and psychosocial assessments.

Prepares and submits appropriate reports to the court and the district attorney on cases in compliance with state laws and agency policy, prepares and submits necessary affidavits. Testifies in court proceedings.

Under very close supervision, may perform the following duties based upon program assignme! nt:

CHILD PROTECTION INVESTIGATION:
Obtains identifying information; determines if the report meets intake requirements as established by state law; determines the current status of the child and/or adult to evaluate extent of danger/risk; determines priority level of report; prepares complaint form.

Investigate allegations of abuse and/or neglect of children and/or adults in accordance with agency policy and state law. Provides those services required for the child's immediate safety.

May serve on 24-hour on-call duty to respond to child abuse and/or neglect reports

FOSTER CARE:
Assesses, develops and executes a plan to achieve permanence for the child including return to the family, adoptions, transfer of custody, independent living, or other alternative plans.

Locates, selects, and oversees the most appropriate placement or change of placement for a child.

Prepares and conducts extensive orientat! ion and training for potential foster and adoptive homes.

Deve! lops and implements a recruitment plan for certifying perspective foster and adoptive families.

Through home studies, examines and evaluates information gathered about families, housing, and environment in relation to agency criteria and licensing regulation for certification of perspective adoptive and foster homes.

Re-evaluates for continued annual re-certification for foster and adoptive homes and develops and implements a corrective action plan to correct deficiencies.

Maintains listing of all foster and adoptive homes in area and recommends appropriate resources to workers placing children.

PREVENTION:
Assesses needs in response to identified problems with particular focus on those affecting the parent/child relationship, parenting ability or other factors contributing to the abusive and/or neglectful environment in the family.
