REVENUE TAX RESEARCH ANALYST

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Description: Louisiana Department of State Civil Service is in need of REVENUE TAX RESEARCH ANALYST right now, this vacancy will be designated in Louisiana. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity kindly see the descriptions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Either (1), (2), or (3) is qualifying:
(1) A baccalaureate degree plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus si! x years of professional level experience in accounting, auditing, tax audit review, or tax systems work, including two years at the experienced-level in tax accounting, tax auditing, tax audit review, or tax systems work.

(2) Possession of designation as a Certified Public Accountant or CPA Inactive plus four years of professional level experience in accounting, auditing, tax audit review, or tax systems work, including two years at the experienced-level in tax accounting, tax auditing, tax audit review, tax systems work, or as a tax attorney.

Possession of a current license to practice law in Louisiana may be substituted for two years of the required general experience.

(3) Possession of a current license to practice law in Louisiana plus twelve semester hours in accounting plus four years professional level experience in accounting, auditing, tax audit review, attorney, or tax systems work, including two years at the experienced-level in tax acc! ounting, tax auditing, tax audit review, tax systems work, or ! as a tax attorney.

SUBSTITUTIONS:
Graduate training in accounting may be substituted for the required general experience on the basis of thirty semester hours for one year of experience.

NOTE:
Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Incorporated; the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools; the Northwest Association of Secondary and Higher Schools; the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools; the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Participates in the drafting and promulgation of tax regulations; aids in designing tax forms, tables, and formulas.

Confers and corresponds with taxpayers, attorneys, CPAs, legislators, and governmental personnel to explain policies and procedures, laws and regulations, etc.
