DUTIES:
The position reports to the Deputy Director and resides in the Human Resources Management Service. The incumbent serves as an administrative support to the Chief, HRMS in preparation for activation of the VA Replacement Medical Center in New Orleans, to include recruiting, hiring and orienting approximately 1200 new
employees.
Provide operational and administrative support through evaluati! ve, analytical, coordination, planning, developmental, interpretative a! nd judge mental methodologies.
Execution of such requires the application of special knowledge, skills and abilities particular to a Health Care delivery environment.
Serves as a principal advisor in highly complex issues, managing numerous services to include resource management, operational matters related to internal and external operations of the facility.
Serves as a Human Resources resource person and provides operational and administrative support to services across the Health Care System.
The incumbent performs a variety of important functions in identifying and resolving complex and highly diversified Health Care System problems contributing to high level deliberations/decisions through the provision of reliable recommendations and resolutions.
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Management Office in all areas of management, providing appraisal of all clinical and administrative matters which require a! ttention, whether through committee activity, Service Chief feedback, or independent problem solving.
Serves as advisor to the HRM Officer, providing input in all areas of management, participating in policy making, planning and management decisions that impact the operation of the Health care System.
Develops and coordinates management of performance plans and position descriptions of personnel organizationally aligned under the Associate Director.
